Would you like to make your own unique Christmas decorations to match your décor? Or do you have some old decorations that you’ve used year upon year and would like to update? Our Artisan range of decorative effects is perfect for adding your own touch to Christmas decorations.
You can use either spray paints or brush on metallics to recreate the look, but for the the wreath and decorations featured in this blog post we used a selection of Artisan spray paints.
Here are our top 3 ways to personalise Christmas decorating
1. Make your Christmas wreath unique by picking out specific leaves, pine cones or twigs and spray them with metallic paint. We used Gold Bright Effect and Chrome Bright Effect on our wreath. If you want to take it one step further you could visit Youtube for a tutorial and make your wreath from scratch!
2. Buy some cardboard letters from your local art shop and spell out your own message of Christmas cheer. We chose “Ho ho ho” and personalised with Hot Lips High Performance Enamel spray paint.
3. Take your existing Christmas decorations, such as baubles for the tree and personalise them. Using an artists paint brush and some sample pots you can add text such as children’s names, or choose some bright spray paint colours to give them a new lease of life.
The possibilities are endless and it’s easier than you think. Simply choose your project, check that your chosen colour is suitable for that surface (is it plastic, wood, or metal?), and protect your table or work surface before you start painting.
We would love to see the results! Feel free to share your own unique project with us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
