Rachel Henderson X Craig & Rose

The Concept

Talk to our showroom team about our extensive colour portfolio.

Rachel Henderson is a published author and textile artist with a bright and bold style so we knew that when she took up our #UnsameYourHome challenge it would be a joyous creation involving multiple vibrant tones - a true reflection of her personality.

The concept for Rachel’s new home office space was developed after a visit to our Edinburgh showroom and a chat with a colour consultant. Rachel wanted a punchy shade of lilac for the walls to tie in with her wallpaper from Borastapeter and chose a custom colour ‘Gracious’ from our colour atlas in our Durable Matt finish.

To complement the scheme, Alhambra Stone was used on the skirting in Eggshell finish.

DIY Details

Not one to shy away from a DIY project, Rachel also upcycled an old desk using our High Performace Enamel spray in Dandelion and Hyssop, finished off by adding some stencilled daisies for extra happy vibes!

The Process

You can take a look at the project here in this short video - it looks like Rachel had great fun!

The Colours

For the finishing touches, various leaf shapes were applied to the top of the wall by stencil, reminiscent of a tropical canopy.  A selection of colours from our 1829 Collection and two colours from our Artisan Spray Paints range were combined with the main wall colour.  The result? A bright and optimistic space, perfect for this colour-loving creative!

For the desk, Rachel used two colours from our range of Artisan Spray Paints.
